Chapter-06 : Regarding His Demise and Final Resting Place



 

Born on February 03, 1873 Mahatma Ram Chandra Ji [Laalaaji] Maharaj veiled from his physical-from in Laalaaji Nilayam Fatehgarh at about 10.30 PM on 14th August 1931 [AD]. His cremation ceremony held at ‘Garaiyya-khaara’ [Shmshan Ghat] on the south bank of River-Ganges in Fatehgarh UP by  His son and de jure heir Mahatma Jagmohan Narain [1901 - 1944], at 10.00 (AM) on August 15, 1931. According to the customary reasons of the Hindu religion, Mahatma Jagmohan Narain along with the other kith and kins went to collect the corpse’s, popularly called – “phool”, (last remains) from the cremation site and kept safely to create Laalaa Ji’s memorial for some well-defined charitable purpose.
 
An appropriate piece of land (35 dismal, in measurement), was acquired on 23rd December 1931. The sale-deed was got registered in the Revenue Records of Farrukhab district maintained at their Register No. ‘One’, its volume number 486, on pages at Sl. Number 385 and 386 [entry number 2102.] was purchased on December 27, 1931.  This can be located at ‘khasra’ [a village book-keeper’s list of fields] number - 209 of Revenue -records of Navadiya / Fatehgarh UP.
 
The formal proceedings of the task in a ceremony was carried-out, on December 24, 1931 by giving a Holy-Fatiha  

  [recital of the prayer given in the first chapter of Quran Majid]; the prayer in the name of, and offerings to the great Saint, Parampujya Laalaaji Maharaj.
 
Subsequently, a Shrine-shaped “Samaadhee” [as shown here below],

  the plan of this shape was designed by, Mahatma Jag Mohan Narain. The main person who did the job of masonry-work, was one of Parampujya Laalaa Ji’s own trusted disciple, Shri Jagannath Prasad Barodia, affectionately called as “Daa Sahib”  
Daa Sahib
of Malva State, who came here specially for the mentioned purpose and stayed here, amongst the so many other devotees, until completion of the whole work. Within few years, Mahatma Jagmohan Narain established a school, named as 'Shri RAM CHANDRA VIDYALAYA' up to VIII class and a charitable Homeopathic Dispensary was also run.
 
The adjoining land of 17 dismal [khasra number - 210], was also donated to the aforesaid Samaadhee by their respective owners - S/shri Suraj Narain and Prakash Narain on 09th June 1959 [as per the sale-deed so registered].
The combined area (35 + 17 = 52 dismal) of this Samaadhee is now in the Municipal administration of Fatehgarh/Farrukhab (UP), the Number allotted 01/114 of Mohalla Navadia (at Kanpur Road), Fatehgarh UP.
 
BESTOWAL OF IMMOVABLE PROPERTY in favor of  this ‘Samaadhee’ :  Pundit Mata Charan, alias Pundit Mata Prasad, s/o Pundit Bachchan Lal, caste -  Brahman, resident of Mauja - Dharra Shadinagar, Pargana - Shamshabad west, Tahasil Kaimganj, district Farrukhab UP who was one of the most adherent disciples of Reverend Laalaaji Maharaj came forward and donated almost all his immovable property in favor of this Samaadhee, in accordance with the deed registered in the office of the Registrar of Tahsil Sadar Farrukhab UP in the register number one , volume 520, at pages 240 and 241 at entry number 535 dated 22nd April 1936.
